One-stop enrollment, new amenities for student life, and up-to-date technology: These three goals were achieved in this award-winning college expansion and interior renovation.

Just as important, SmithGroupJJR designed the buildings inside and out as a contemporary interpretation of classic Arizona desert structures, such as ramadas and adobe. Some of the architectural concepts enliven student experience, such as the revolving arts program, outdoor spaces with computer connectivity, and indoor gathering zones with doors or walls opening to outdoor patios. Culinary arts students practice their craft in dedicated kitchen and dining areas.

It is also a highly adaptable design, accommodating the expanding needs of student and faculty. Administrative spaces were redesigned for better flow, benefiting staff and students. Creative yet low-cost concepts throughout its new gathering spaces and common areas enrich student interactions and learning opportunities. The result is a welcoming oasis of learning that celebrates the school's surroundings.
