Advertising agency Downtown Partners promotes an easygoing, casual work culture that has helped them to recruit and retain top creative talent. When developing plans for its new offices, firm leadership anticipated a work environment to reflect the company's progressive culture and unwavering belief in partnership.
Additionally, the agency wanted a design that would capitalize on the lakefront location by providing abundant daylight and inspiring views of Millennium Park and Chicago itself. The design team responded with an open-plan workspace featuring layers of transparency along with materials that convey a sense of openness and reflectivity.
The result encourages collaboration, says the agency, and reinforces its creative spirit. A serene lobby, team areas flanked by writable walls and cold-rolled steel display panels, and a pinstriped, tongue-in-cheek (yet fully equipped) presentation room number among the collection of multi-functional spaces in this quirky, engaging renovation.
