Victor has more than 30 years of architectural experience, with specific expertise laboratory programming and planning spaces for bioscience research, translational research, teaching laboratories, and engineering and material sciences labs. A national expert on lab design, Victor is a frequent speaker at the acclaimed national Tradeline conferences, on the advisory board for the Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association (SEFA) and has contributed to the Laboratory Design Handbook, published by R&D Magazine. He created SmithGroupJJR's LabSim, a proprietary software for laboratory programming simulation modeling. Victor particularly enjoys projects "where there has been a great collaboration between the design team and the client, which are usually the ones where everyone is pleased with the outcomes." Seeing first-hand the work of researchers, Victor admires people like Alfred Nobel and Bill Gates "who use their wealth for the better of mankind, including helping those less fortunate or helping improve science."
