Optimizing Design and Construction Methods with Lean 
Kristina Glusac 
Completed in 2022, the McLaren Medical Outpatient and Karmanos Cancer Center project serves as a best practice example of leveraging Lean methodology during design and construction. Kristina Glusac will join McLaren Health Care Director of Corporate Construction Management Austin Holcomb and Granger Construction Company Vice President Glenn Simon to share their top lessons learned. John Linenberg of Walbridge will champion the session. 

 

Thursday, October 26 | 2:30 – 3:15 PM 
From Divide and Conquer to Combine and Collaborate 
Craig Passey 
This session will explore a case study on how Banner Health, SmithGroup, Okland Construction and McCarthy Holdings were able to collaborate across separate projects to optimize design and pre-construction to share value, minimize waste, manage risk and achieve budgeting goals for the health system. Craig Passey will join Banner Health Sr. Project Executive Aaron Zeligman, Jason Light of Okland Construction, and Chris Jacobson of McCarthy Holdings, Inc., to share their insights. Martyna Falloni of HKS, Inc., will champion the session.
